July 2007 we were waiting to start our new lives in a foreign country.
We made a pretty spur of the moment decision to up sticks and move to Cyprus, my parents had been there for 4years already.
And so our new life adventure began.........
In the 4 years we were there we managed to set up our own business, move 4 times, make lots of new friends, have a baby, fall pregnant again.
We were once again waiting...............this time we were waiting to move back to the UK.
We have been back in the UK for about 16 months now and love being back (although a little apprehensive at 1st).
We had the best and worst times in Cyprus, we also have lots of memories (good and bad) and we don't regret moving there for 1 second (and my parents are still living there, so we will be visiting in the future) but for the first time in our lives we feel settled and have a direction to go in with our lives and the main thing is the 5 kids are happier & more settled than they have ever been and so are me and the hubby.
So heres to making lots of new memories :)

Why did you move to Cyprus ? Work or just a change of life? It must have been a great experience but there's no place like home is there? Glad you are all happier since you returned , life must be so much better now xx
ReplyDeleteFor both reasons, we always wanted to live abroad and decided to just go for it.....we worked harder over there than we ever have over here but it was worth it for the change of life, at the time.
ReplyDeleteIm glad we did it, its gave the kids a great experience (and us) but yes we are glad to be back and I think we appreciate it over here so much more now :)
Lots of waiting..
